So, it’s been quite an excited week for me at work. Ever since I have started the blog I have been constantly thinking & planning about my next post. The other day I came home and saw 3 wedding invitations on the table. And that’s when I got my next post.
It’s the wedding season and deciding your attire is not the easiest task. So you’re work colleagues are tying a knot and you’re clueless as to what is going to be your dressing style , Swain and Svetlana decided to help you up your dressing game this wedding season.
Speaking of weddings I have always found them boring to attend but I love the fact that it gives you a chance to look vibrant and lively. I don’t know about you all but I have always found it difficult to decide whether I should be wearing something heavy or something too plain when invited to a wedding. But when I went through these looks it actually cleared all my confusion. I am actually somebody who loves to mix and match so I have combined all the looks I liked in one post for both Men and Women.
This look is a complete ethnic look for men. I have always been a huge fan of Pathani Kurtas . So pathani kurtas when paired up with sleevless Nehru jackets look very traditional and festive. Wear a really light colored kurta and pyjama (White , off white, beige, light blue, etc) and top it up with dark colored Nehru neck jackets (Royal blue, black, Maroon, etc) Make sure you team it up with ethnic shoes to complete the look.
This look is a mix of ethnic and urban style. Also one of the most simple looks. All you have to do is pair up full sleeved nehru jackets with smart trousers and you’re ready. But just don’t forget shoes play an important part in terms of enhancing your personality. You could also keep a folded scarf in the front pocket of your jacket to keep up the style factor.(optional)
I absolutely love these shoes, they always add a royal touch to your clothing. You can pair these up with the above looks as they look super stylish and traditional at the same time.
This look is my personal favorite as it makes you look so regal and that’s why it’s the last look for men. Classy looking men always have an advantage over others. This look is more appropriate for cocktail parties or receptions. It is again a mix of ethnic and western wear. Wear a perfect fitting light colored shirt along with your favorite trousers or pants and top it up with a sleeveless Nehru jacket. Pair it up with formal shoes and you’re ready! Please make sure that you co-ordinate the colors properly. You can also experiment with white color shirts and black, grey, navy blue trousers along with a brown jacket.
This look is appropriate for haldi ceremony or a wedding after party. I have always loved patialas because of the kind of comfort they give you. Pair up the patiala salwars with short frock kurtas and accessorize with a statement bangle or neck piece. Too much of accessorizing always proves to be a disaster so make sure if you’re wearing a statement bangle the neck pieces or earrings that you wear should be really delicate or more on the sober side. Pair up this look with really cool ethnic flats or heels and you’re ready!
Look – 2
Anaarkalis will never go out of fashion, come what may! Just make sure that the color that you wear is very vibrant and fresh since you’re dressing up for a wedding. Team it up with heels (ethnic or urban style) (wedges or stilettos) the choice is yours. Do not over do the accessories. If you are wearing a round neck deep anaarkali then go for a either a statement necklace or statement jhumkas but not both. Or if the neck is collared go for long statement earrings and thick ethnic bracelets.
This look speaks uber style. Long slit full length churidaar sets are the new trend. Team it up with leggings or tight pants and you have your look. Accessorize with bracelets and earrings. Heels will accentuate this look more compared to flats.
Hope you had fun reading the post because I definitely had a lot of fun working on this. So go get all decked up for that wedding and dress to kill!
